In today’s society everyone is defined by words. Some words can be powerful and others mundane. Mine was silence. This word can hold both meanings. Silence is getting everyone to listen. Silence can also mean peace. For me it meant no words, no knowledge or opinion. My whole childhood I felt trapped in my head. Vivid memories of someone telling me what to do. Tons to say, tons to answer. I laugh inside when people think I am stupid. Now I can communicate. Now I am on top of the world.
